The product
Which platforms do you support?
Instagram Reels. TikTok is next, and it's the biggest thing missing right now: if you need TikTok today, this isn't the tool for you yet.
How long until it's useful on a new account?
We pull in their recent posts as soon as you add them, so you get a rough sense of normal within minutes. It's labelled as rough until we've watched them for about a week, then it gets properly accurate.
Do I need to connect my own accounts?
No. You track public accounts, so there's nothing to connect, nothing to install and no password to hand over. We only read what any logged-out visitor could already see.
Detection
What counts as a breakout?
A video doing several times what's normal for the account that posted it, while it's still climbing. Normal means the middle of that account's recent videos, and we leave the video being judged out of that average, or a big one would hide itself by pulling the average up.
How fast will I actually hear about it?
Videos that are moving get checked every 15 minutes on the faster plans. We also record the exact moment we flagged something and never change it, so how fast we are is something you can check, not something we claim.
Will I be buried in alerts?
No. We start cautious and let you loosen it. Five messages a week that all matter beats forty where six do: once you start ignoring them, the whole thing is worthless.
Plans and billing
Do I need a card for the trial?
No. It runs 14 days with 50 accounts, and nothing is charged when it ends. We never asked for a card. Your list is kept if you come back.
Why charge per account and not per video?
Because you can plan around accounts and nobody can plan around videos. Charge per video and an agency watching 100 daily posters hits the ceiling in ten days with no warning. More on pricing.
Can several people share a workspace?
Yes. Everyone on the team shares the same tracked accounts and the same history. Pro comes with 3 seats, Agency with 10.
The free tools
Are the free tools really free?
Yes. No account, no card, no "enter your email to see the result". They're rate limited so a bot can't sit on them, and that's the only catch. See all of them →
Can the downloader get reels from private accounts?
No, and neither can anything else that isn't asking for your Instagram password. We only fetch what a logged-out visitor could open in a browser.
The awkward ones
Do you have an SLA and enterprise compliance?
No. We're small. If your procurement team needs SOC 2 today, buy something else. We'd rather say that than waste your quarter.
Will you add scheduling, captions, creator payments…?
Not in the product. BreakoutDesk does one job: track short-form performance across the accounts that matter to you and alert you fast when something breaks out. We do have free tools for captions and hooks: they're separate, and they're free.
