Reels downloader
Paste a link. Get the video. That's the whole thing.
How to get the link
Open the reel
In the app or on the web. It needs to be a public account. See below.
Tap share, then Copy link
On desktop, copying the address bar works just as well. It looks like
instagram.com/reel/Cx4yZ2AbCdE/.
Paste it above
You'll get the video, the thumbnail, and the numbers it's on so far.
Why won't private accounts work?
Because we only fetch what a logged-out visitor could already open in a browser. A private account's posts aren't that. Anything claiming to download from private accounts is asking you to hand over your Instagram login. Don't.
Is there a limit?
A few downloads an hour, and a daily total across everyone. Each one costs us something, and a free page with no limit gets pointed at by bots within a week. If you hit the limit, it resets on its own.
Can I repost what I download?
If it's your video, yes. If it's someone else's, it's still their copyright: studying it privately is fine, reposting it as your own isn't, and reposting with credit is a grey area most creators will say yes to if you ask. Longer version here.
Do you store the videos?
No. The file streams straight through to you and nothing is kept.
Downloading competitors' reels one by one?
We'll watch their accounts and tell you which video is worth downloading, usually within the hour it starts moving.
